Abated

Captain Jack Sparrow woke up early this morning to find that the storm had abated. Just last night the storm that had began a few days ago was still pounding on his window pane but the sky was clear when he looked out the window upon waking. And the look-out boy said last night that the storm was the heaviest in 75 years and would probably last until Friday.

"So much for the look-out boy," he thought.

The heavy storm over the last few days had many locals of Leo Cityport resorting to hire sampans
to reach their ships rather than using the Harbormaster's ferry, as did Captain Sparrow. The look-out boy had reported that many parts of the island had flooded, particularly Thomson Lane, and the Harbormaster had to send many slaves to clear the channel of the debris.

"Well, back to the Black Pearl I guess."
